osx86 patch ICH9

Вітання!

Після багаточисельних і безуспішних спроб проінсталювати ICH9 підтримку для материнської плати від Asus P5K-SE для МакОС 10.4.10 вирішив створити власний патч для підтримки даного чіпсета.

Використавши идентифікаційні коди різних виробників та модифікацій самого чіпсету з FreeBSD я вніс деякі зміни в AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext , який знаходиться всередині IOATAFamily.kext в папці Plugins

Список чіпів (ICH9 id`s)

  • - ICH9R/DO 0x29268086

  • - ICH9M 0x292e8086
  • - ICH9M

(If anyone have another pci ID`s - please send me and I`ll put it into patch)

Проблема патчу в тому, що він дозволяє працювати тільки з першим каналом

SATA Known BUG - only first SATA channel working on P5K-SE motherboard 8(....

Інсталяція -

*************** First of all Restore all your ATA patches to native apple kexts ***************

  • Remove Extensions.kextcache
  • Remove Extensions.mkext
  • Replace your AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext with AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext from attachement
  • Fix system disk permisions using Disk Utility
  • Reboot
  • Enjoy and post bugs here

ICH9 patch screenshot :) *************** need adding about the P5K-VM ports, I found some more info SATA 1 root port 2940 (this is port 2) SATA 5 root port 2948 (this is port 3) SATA 6 root port 294a (this is port 4)

 i have     MSI matherbord p35 combo  and core 2 quad 2,66 12mb  & Pci e msi 6800 1gb & sata h.d.d 500 gb & 2 gb ram
so ,,,
 i can install oprating system IMAC OS on the my PC

If it is a question - so You can to try install Kalyway and I think without any global problems, otherwise - I`m glad 8)

Your driver worked great with my P5K-VM which utilizes ICH9.
I can finally run my Sata HD and DVD writer in enhanced mode
whithout AHCI!

Also all my sata ports are correctly recognized.

and 29268086........2 ports  while in ide mode

in ahci mode...29228086

and also for onboard Marvell PATA controller id = 610111AB

It is possible unsupported multichannel mode for kext because SATA channels are not 0 1 2 but 1 2 3 (0 - onboard Marvell PATA controller )

yes! If Your SATA ports supported - it will!
Or U can try my AppleVIAATA patch for this chipset with Marvell IDE support
